The Jack & Jill National Awareness Campaign

Tails of Hope Foundation and the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Foundation (“ACVIM Foundation”) are extremely pleased to announce that Jill Rappaport of NBC’s The TODAY Show and her beautiful dog, Jack, will represent a national public awareness campaign to be launched by the two organizations in the fall of 2007. The goal of the campaign is to educate the public and members of the veterinary medical community about the importance of the entire Veterinary Healthcare Team, including Board-certified Veterinary Specialists such as Oncologists, in providing comprehensive care for companion animals, as well as the benefits of early diagnosis and treatment for companion animal cancer patients.

About the Charity Recipients

While all of the events and events at Smokey’s are FREE we are asking anyone who comes to the event make a contribution to the charity beneficiaries. All proceeds from individual donors and the net proceeds (after direct expenses) from our corporate sponsors will be divided and donated equally among the Animal Cancer Foundation and  PAWS (The Cosmos Fund).

Animal Cancer Foundation:
ACF develops and supports research that advances the prevention and treatment of cancer for people and pets. Specifically, our endeavors focus on furthering research in comparative oncology, which is the study of cancers that occur similarly in both pets and humans.
